The capital and base are what turn a plain post into a finished column. They set the style of the whole element, from a simple Tuscan band to a more detailed classical profile. Architectural Foam Florida fabricates custom foam caps and bases from high-density EPS with a hard-coat finish.
We cut caps and bases to the size of your column, pilaster or pier, round or square, and can match an existing profile from photos and measurements. They can be ordered with our foam columns or on their own to update existing columns.
Caps and bases are decorative. When the column carries a load, the structural support is handled separately and the foam pieces provide the finished appearance.
